Starting off with something sweet for bebe :)

Well here we go! This, the urban sewist seems to be what I've become. I used to be exclusively A QUILTER. Then slowly, other little things crept in. A bag. A pillow. A little patchwork skirt. It felt like it was time to evolve, so here we are. I shop exclusively quilting fabrics, so not to worry my quilty peeps, plenty of eye candy still awaits your curious eyes. :)

Recently I offered up a prize for a local mommy site on FB. I chose to offer a set of these little baby booties because
A) they are easy to make and pretty quick.
B)NO TINY HUMAN SHALL EVER LEAVE THIS BODY AGAIN, so I need to curb my baby bootie urge somehow!
(PS those capitals are for you readers who still aren't convinced. ;) hehe )

What I love about this pattern:
Quickity quick.
Available in multiple sizes.
Cute as heck.
Amy Butler design.
#needIsaymore?

What I learned about this pattern:
Following instructions IS important.
It gets easier and faster with practice.
Definitely recommend for sewists with a bit of experience.

The pattern is called cutie booties in Amy Butler's book called Little Stitches for Little Ones. I splurged for this book(twas a tad expensive at a local shop but #shoplocal ) and it was well worth it. It's packed with beautiful projects for wee ones.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Valentine's Day so far! My Matty spoiled me rotten with the biggest bouquet of flowers I've ever seen... all roses and lilies - dozens of them! Pop on over to my FB page to see the pics!

My next project is also an Amy Butler, hoping to cut into it this weekend... will are you sewists playing with these days? I'd love to hear about it!

bye for now, b.
